Annie loved to draw and paint at an early age...

"Magenta African Violets"
....In fact when Annie was just a little girl, she knew she wanted to grow up to be a painter. In high school she enjoyed her art classes and received some private art instruction after school as a teenager.

In 1991, soon after the birth of her third child, Annie began to study the technique of watercolor at a local art league. Her instructor’s focus was on painting landscape, but from the beginning all Annie wanted to paint were clay pots of ivy and flowers! Her passion for flowers and gardening are reflected in all of her artwork, and she is best known for her rich watercolors of mossy terracotta pots and urns filled with ivy topiaries, flowering bulbs, and blooms of all kinds.

If you look carefully you will find a scripture reference from the Bible tucked away in every painting. Annie says, ”Each verse from God’s Word, that I hide in my paintings, is like a treasure that must be found. Proverb 2:4,5 says about the Lord’s wisdom, “if you look for it as for silver, and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.” Offering my artwork to the public has been an exciting, wonderful, privilege, but I have a much greater desire. It is to share the Living Word, Jesus, with people everywhere, for He is a far greater Treasure than anything on Earth. By including a scripture in my artwork, I share with you a truth from God’s Word, and also, it is a way I can give each painting back to the Lord, God, who is the Greatest Artist of all!"

"I am so thankful to God for opening up these doors for me, so that I can create my art and share it in so many ways, with so many people. It is both humbling and exciting to watch Him move and grow me up as an artist, and more importantly, as a Christian.”

Annie has been married to her husband Ken for 27 years and they have 3 children. Christopher is 26, Daniel 23, and Joanna is 18. The whole family is very involved in a house building ministry in MEXICO. Ken began to develop the ministry 'ULBC CasaBuilders' several years ago. He leads monthly trips building homes for homeless families and churches for churchless communities.

In 2006 'ULBC Casabuilders' was given 5 acres of land in Mexico to build 'Mi Casa Children's Home." This is a vision that God has placed in Ken, and as Annie and Ken pray continually for this project, they are watching the Lord faithfully unfold His plan. Building began on this land in April 2007.

This is a scripture from the Bible that Annie often prays to the Lord....
"Since you are my rock and fortress, for the sake of your name,
lead and guide me."
